NHL ice hockey franchise the Nashville Predators has become the latest sports team to partner with transportation network company Uber.
Under the agreement, an Uber safe-ride zone will be introduced at the Predators’ Bridgestone Arena.
The zone, which is located adjacent to a dedicated pick-up and drop-off area, will provide fans with a space to wait for their Uber to arrive after Predators games and other events at Bridgestone Arena.
New riders can sign up for Uber and use the code ‘BRIDGESTONEUBER’ to receive $20 (€18.58) off their first trip to Bridgestone Arena.
The initiative was introduced for the Predators’ 5-4 home defeat to the Buffalo Sabres yesterday (Tuesday).
In recent weeks, Uber has agreed similar partnerships with NHL team the New Jersey Devils, English Premier League football club Manchester United, NBA basketball franchise the Cleveland Cavaliers and Major League Baseball outfit the Atlanta Braves.
