The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football has renewed its commercial rights deal with the Traffic Sports agency through the 2021-22 season.
As its official corporate partnership agency, Traffic Sports will be responsible for the sponsorship rights to all Concacaf properties throughout the course of the agreement, which includes four editions of the biennial Gold Cup national team tournament in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021, as well as the next seven seasons of the Champions League club competition from 2015-16 to 2021-22.
Financial terms for the partnership were not disclosed.
The deal incorporates rights to all other events organised by Concacaf, such as youth tournaments, Olympic qualifiers and futsal. Traffic Sports will continue to package and market all of the confederation’s properties globally using field of play branding, tournament marks, unique experiences and hospitality packages.
“We are very pleased to extend our relationship with Traffic Sports,” Concacaf president Jeffrey Webb said. “During the past year they have contributed tremendously to our mission of developing the game at all levels by aligning our properties with companies that want to become true partners of our sport.”
Sao-Paulo-based Traffic Sports held the commercial rights partner for the 2013 Gold Cup. The firm is also currently handling commercial rights for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons of the Champions League.
