Toro Rosso looks long-term with Interproteccion partnership

Italian Formula One motor racing team Toro Rosso entered into a partnership with Mexican insurance broker Interproteccion for the country’s return to the motor racing series’ calendar at the weekend, with the two parties set to explore a long-term collaboration.

As part of the agreement, Interproteccion’s logo appeared on the headrests of Toro Rosso’s drivers’ cars as the Mexican GP returned to F1 for the first time in over two decades.

“We welcomed them to our team for this their home race and we hope to convert this into a long-term relationship getting underway in 2016,” Franz Tost, team principal at Toro Rosso, said.

Juan Ignacio Casanueva Perez, chief executive at Interproteccion, added: “Maybe this one-off arrangement for our home race here in Mexico can lead to more next year.”
