Nippon Life Insurance and Tokio Marine & Nichido have been unveiled this (Friday) morning as gold partners of the Tokyo 2020 summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Nippon Life Insurance will occupy the commercial portfolio’s ‘life insurance’ category while Tokio Marine & Nichido will have exclusivity in the ‘non-life insurance’ category. The Tokyo 2020 organising committee has now announced three gold partners in the space of as many days, with energy company JX Nippon having signed up on Wednesday.
“Nippon Life Insurance has been a Japanese Olympic Committee gold partner since 2009, and has now become a Tokyo 2020 gold partner,” Tokyo 2020 president Yoshiro Mori said.
Nippon Life Insurance president Yoshinobu Tsutsui said: “With high expectations that the coming Tokyo 2020 Games will serve as a landmark event that will contribute to creating a bright future for Japan, Nippon Life Insurance will call on all its approximately 70,000 officials and employees across the country to work hard on promoting the Olympic and Paralympic movements.”
Tokio Marine & Nichido has also served as a Japanese Olympic Committee gold partner, and the company’s president Tsuyoshi Nagano added: “We will continue providing support relating to risk management and non-life insurance products to contribute to the safety and security of the Games.”
