Online investment provider and stockbroker AJ Bell has extended its title sponsorship of the English National Badminton League team competition.
AJ Bell’s new two-year deal with the Badminton England national governing body will cover the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.
Under the agreement, AJ Bell will continue to have an on- and off-court presence at all NBL fixtures. The company will also retain naming rights to the ‘PowerPlay’ double points rally feature, which is exclusive to the NBL.
AJ Bell has sponsored the NBL since its launch in October 2014.
Great Britain won its first Olympic badminton medal in 12 years at the Rio 2016 Games, with Chris Langridge and Marcus Ellis (pictured) picking up bronze in the men’s doubles.
Langridge and Ellis will play for the Surrey Smashers and Team Derby respectively during the 2016-17 NBL season, which gets underway on October 17.
