Tennis icon Andre Agassi has returned to Nike after spending eight years as an endorser of sportswear rival Adidas.
The new collaboration will reignite a relationship between Nike and Agassi that first began in 1988 when the American was making his first steps on the professional tennis scene. Nike supported Agassi throughout his years at the top before he opted to make the move to Adidas in 2005 towards the end of a professional playing career that garnered eight grand slam titles.
As part of the deal with Nike, Agassi will support an initiative called ‘Design to Move’ which has been created to combat physical inactivity amongst youngsters.
“Designed to Move has opened new horizons,” said Agassi. “Coming back together with Nike through this partnership will have a multiplying effect on this and future generations.”
