Durban-based Super Rugby franchise the Sharks has extended its title sponsorship agreement with South African mobile phone operator Cell C.
The two parties have agreed a new three-year deal, which will cover the 2017 to 2019 seasons. Cell C will continue to sponsor each of the Sharks’ professional teams as part of the extension.
Cell C will also retain its front-of-shirt branding exposure on the Sharks’ playing jerseys. Its logo will feature on the shirts of the club’s professional and academy teams, and the KwaZulu-Natal amateur and schools teams.
“The benefits of this partnership will not only be exclusive to the team, but will be extended to our loyal stakeholders,” Sharks chief executive John Smit said. “Cell C are committed to providing exciting and exclusive offers to our stakeholders, to ensure that everyone who is associated with the Cell C Sharks family are able to enjoy the exclusive benefits and service that our leading mobile service provider of choice has to offer.”
