English Premier League football team Sunderland has continued a busy period commercially by sealing a two-year partnership with stadium and event lighting company Thorn Lighting.
Thorn, which is part of the Austrian-based Zumtobel Group and has manufacturing facilities in the north east of England, becomes an official partner of Sunderland and will provide the team with an upgraded floodlight system at its Stadium of Light home ahead of the 2014-15 Premier League season.
Additionally, Thorn will benefit from “a range of rights and benefits” through its association with Sunderland, according to the club.
Already this month Sunderland has extended its agreements with international investment holding company Bidvest – its principal partner – and Asian online gaming operator TLC188.com.
Sunderland commercial director Gary Hutchinson said: “It has been very positive period for us in terms of growing and developing our range of partnerships and our agreement with Thorn Lighting is another step forward for the club.”
