Sandwich restaurant chain Subway has agreed a deal to sponsor NFL games played in London as part of an agreement with the UK division of the American football league.
The deal names Subway as a presenting partner of the NFL in the UK and Ireland for the next three seasons. As part of the deal, Subway will serve as the main sponsor of NFL games played in London.
Subway will be integrated across the NFL’s major events and initiatives in the UK, including the league’s expanding schools programme and NFL UK Live fan events.
To mark the signing of the partnership, NFL UK and Subway hosted the ‘Summer Bowl’ event at King’s House playing fields in Hounslow, London, where 500 schoolchildren took part in a flag football tournament, coached by eight NFL players.
