The Irish sponsorship industry achieved further growth in 2021 and is this year set to move close to the €200m ($226.6m) threshold first reached in 2018 with women’s sport becoming increasingly prominent, according to a new report from sponsorship and research agency Onside.
The Irish sponsorship industry grew by six per cent to reach €180m in 2021, and while the sector’s size has yet to return to pre-pandemic levels, the 16th annual Onside Irish Sponsorship Industry Survey estimates there will be further growth of eight per cent this year to reach €195m.
