The orthopaedics division of medical technology company Stryker has announced a marketing relationship with golf’s PGA Tour.
Stryker takes the designation of official joint replacements product of the PGA Tour and Champions Tour. The terms of the agreement were undisclosed.
At PGA and Champions Tour events throughout 2014, Stryker will have an on-site presence in the form of the Stryker Mobility Zone, which will offer education and information to fans about its hip and knee treatments.
The Stryker Mobility Zone will debut at the World Golf Championship event in Doral, Florida on March 6-9. Veteran US golfers Fred Funk and Hal Sutton, who have undergone joint replacement procedures with Stryker, will serve as ambassadors for the partnership. Funk has been a Stryker brand ambassador since 2011.
