ESPN Software India has agreed a deal for its Star Sports website to sponsor the McLaren Mercedes Formula One team for this weekend’s Indian Grand Prix, according to the Press Trust of India news agency.
Under the deal, the team’s cars will carry the StarSports.com logo on their rear wings during the Indian GP, which will take place from October 25-27.
In addition, StarSports.com will present a “live video experience” and set aside an area for replays and a catch-up service.
StarSports.com will also develop special F1 programming for the race, which will include interviews with McLaren drivers Jenson Button and Sergio Perez, along the team’s senior management.
The company did not disclose the financial details of the agreement.
