Security, cleaning and facility services provider Southern Cross has signed up as the new stadium naming rights partner for the Cronulla Sharks Australian National Rugby League club.
The company has agreed a three-year deal with the rugby league club, from 2016 to 2018.
Under the agreement, the stadium will become known as Southern Cross Group Stadium.
The Daily Telegraph newspaper said that the deal was worth at least Aus$1.5m (€1m/$1.1m).
“Southern Cross is an extremely experienced and professional organisation, leaders in their industry and represent an outstanding cultural and aspirational fit for our club moving forward,” Southern Cross chief executive Lyall Gorman said. “I am enormously impressed with the strong business acumen that the Southern Cross Group senior management team will bring to the table with their total commitment to work together to enhance the game day experience and venue and precinct functionality at every level of operations.”
