English Premier League football club Southampton has entered into a long-term partnership with sports footwear, apparel and equipment provider Under Armour.
The deal will run for seven seasons, from 2016-17 to 2022-23.
Under Armour will design, manufacture and provide playing and training kit for the Southampton first team.
The company will also supply more than 5,000 pairs of boots to players in the club’s youth academy and, in partnership with the Saints Foundation initiative, will provide kit to over 5,000 children in the local community.
Under Armour will also work with the club on a range of projects to help develop women’s and girls’ football, as well as promote the benefits of sports and healthy living through a series of activations.
Peter Murray, vice-president of global sports marketing at Under Armour, added: “The club's commitment to developing and improving players at every level continues to set a benchmark in the sport. We look forward to providing game-changing technologies and product innovations to further support the club's on pitch performance.”
