Dortmund rubber stamps Asian-focused partnership

Swiss stamping technology company Bruderer has entered into an Asian-focused partnership with German Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund.

Terms of the partnership were not disclosed but it will target increasing the visibility of both brands in the Chinese, Japanese and Singaporean markets.

Bruderer has a number of branches across the three territories, while Dortmund also launched its own office in Singapore last year.

“European and in particular German football enjoys an excellent reputation in Asia,” Yu Xuelian, manager of Bruderer in China, said. “Furthermore, the BVB matches against (English Premier League clubs) Manchester United and Manchester City will take place near our Chinese sites in July. Many of our customers and employees are really looking forward to this.”

Dortmund currently has one Japanese player in its ranks – midfielder Shinji Kagawa (pictured).
