South Africa’s Titans sign new title sponsor

Leading South African cricket franchise the Titans has announced Multiply, a subsidiary of the MMI Holdings financial services group, as its new title sponsor.

The three-year deal will cover the 2016-17 to 2018-19 editions of the Sunfoil Series, the first-class competition of which the Centurion-based team is the current champion, as well as the One-Day Cup.

Under the agreement, the team will officially be titled the Multiply Titans for its fixtures in the two competitions.

Multiply replaces financial services company The Unlimited as the Titans’ naming rights sponsor.

The Titans’ first official game under its new moniker will be the pre-season eKasi Challenge fixture against the Highveld Lions on September 7. This year’s Sunfoil Series begins on October 6.

The Titans squad includes South Africa internationals AB de Villiers (pictured), Morne and Albie Morkel and Quinton de Kock.
