T10 League signs up new title sponsor

Ghalia Group, a UAE-based conglomerate, has been unveiled as the new title sponsor of the T10 League cricket competition.

The deal has been signed ahead of this year’s competition, which will take place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE from November 21 to December 2.

This year’s T10 League will mark the second season of the competition, which is the world’s first 10-over international professional league.

This year’s tournament will also be an expanded version and be spread over 12 days.

Shaji ul Mulk, chairman of the T10 league told the Gulf News website: “The UAE’s private sector organisations are providing strong support to the T10 League. Ghalia Group will be our new Title Sponsors. They are a Sharjah-based major crude oil trader who have also recently invested in the Indian aviation industry by acquiring two regional airlines, Air Deccan and Air Odisha and is setting up a $2bn (€1.8bn) AeroCity in Andhra Pradesh. We also have ENBD, MyDubai and BMW backing us.”
