Singha Beer signs United extension

MANCHESTER UNITED'S official beer partner Singha has extended its sponsorship of the Red Devils for a further three years to 2016.

The contract is worth more than £2 million per season, according to press reports quoting the Thai company's international sports marketing director, Jaturon Himanthongkom.

The beer brand signed its initial three-year deal with the club in August 2010, a partnership which saw Singha beer sold at Old Trafford during matches, and the Singha brand positioned on billboards in the stadium and in the club’s media outlets.

The new deal includes a possible visit to Thailand by the club in July.

"Singha celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2013 and what better way to commemorate this than to renew our successful relationship," said Manchester United commercial director Richard Arnold.

“Manchester United is delighted to be keeping Singha within its family of sponsors and looking forward to building on the fantastic achievements the partnership has created so far.”

Singha joins other official sponsors of Manchester United below premier partners Aon and Nike, including Casillero Del Diablo, Chevrolet, Bwin, Epson, Kansai Paint, Hublot, Mister Potato, Smirnoff, STC, Thomas Cook, Toshiba Mediclal Systems, Turkish Airlines and Yanmar.
