Singapore Airlines wings in for naming rights to home F1 race

State-owned Singapore Airlines has reached a two-year title sponsorship agreement for Formula One’s Singapore Grand Prix.

Singapore Airlines takes on the naming berth from SingTel, the telecommunications group that signed on as title sponsor for the motor racing event’s inaugural edition in 2008.

The 2014 Singapore Grand Prix takes place from September 19-21 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.
