Scottish Rugby, the governing body of rugby union in the country, has entered into a three-year partnership with media company News UK.
Under the deal, which begins immediately and runs until 2019, News UK’s Scottish publications The Scottish Sun, The Times Scotland and The Sunday Times Scotland have been named the official newspaper partners of the body.
Reporters from the three newspapers will be granted exclusive access to the Scottish national team as well as Pro12 sides Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors.
The publications will also receive advertising exposure at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield stadium, while ticket competitions and giveaways will be organised to promote the partnership.
“The partnership will help our marketing of the game in Scotland across the broad demographics that the three titles encapsulate through both paper and digital content,” Scottish Rugby’s chief operating officer Dominic McKay said.
Scotland began its Six Nations campaign with a 15-9 home defeat against England on Saturday.
