Energy management firm Schneider Electric has extended its title sponsorship of the Paris Marathon, while Japanese sportswear company Asics has also renewed its partnership with the mass-participation event.
Schneider’s deal will run for three years, from 2017 until 2019.
The race will continue to be known as the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon and the company will work with race organiser, Amaury Sport Organisation, on a range of initiatives for the event, including a new training application that has been launched ahead of this year’s race, which takes place this Sunday.
Schneider Electric also benefit from branding along the race route and will host a ‘Life is On Innovation Summit’ alongside the marathon, with customers, partners, media and analysts invited to attend.
Meanwhile, Asics has also signed a three-year extension, from 2017 to 2019.
According to French newspaper Les Echos, Asics will use the renewed partnership to support its ongoing growth in the country. Last year, the company reported a 17-per-cent year-on-year increase in footwear sales in France.
