The German Handball Federation (DHB) has agreed a one-year sponsorship deal with furniture retailer SB-Mobel Boss.
Beginning with the 2013-14 season, the company will have its logo displayed on the shirts of referees during the DKB Handball-Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, DHB-Pokal, Final Four, All Star-Game and Super Cup competitions.
SB-Mobel Boss will also receive branding presence during German national team games.
The agreement was brokered by the Sportfive agency.
Lars Hunger, managing director of SB-Mobel Boss, said: “The Porta group, of which we are a part, has always held a great affinity for handball. Our headquarters in Porta Westfalica are situated in the midst of the handball stronghold of Ostwestfalen-Lippe. The new partnership is a logical continuation of the long-standing sports sponsorship within the Porta group. We look forward to a successful collaboration with the world’s largest handball governing body.”
