German Handball Federation cleans up with new partner for women’s team

Cleaning products retailer proWin has agreed a sponsorship deal with the German Handball Federation (DHB), through which it will serve as a premium partner of the women’s national team.

Under the agreement, which will initially run until 2018 and includes the option for an extension, proWin’s branding will feature on the back of the team’s playing jerseys.

ProWin will also benefit from an extensive advertising and hospitality package. Its branding will appear on TV-visible areas of the playing court, with its logo to feature on the playing surfaces of all DHB-organised women’s matches.

The agreement covers the 2016 European Handball Championship, which takes place in Sweden from December 4-18, and the 2017 World Championship in Germany.

Germany will wear the proWin-branded kit for the first time during Sunday’s game against the Netherlands.

“Entering into a cooperation with the German women's national team is special because almost 98 per cent of our sales are with women,” proWin chief executive Sascha Winter said. “We are looking forward to this very appropriate cooperation with the DHB women and wish them great and successful tournaments.”
