Formula One motor-racing team Sauber has further expanded its number of Mexican commercial partners through one-year deals with financial institution Unifin and insurance company Interproteccion.
Unifin’s branding will feature on the nose of the Sauber C33-Ferrari for the 2014 F1 season, while Interproteccion’s will be displayed on the front wing. Both companies will be represented on driver overalls and other official team clothing.
Unifin previously signed a one-race deal with Sauber for last season’s Italian Grand Prix, while Interproteccion has backed the team for the past three years.
The deals are the latest commercial links forged by Sauber with the Central American country after Mexican youngster Esteban Gutierrez was confirmed as part of the team’s driver line-up for next season, having made his debut in the 2013 campaign.
Earlier this month, tequila brand Jose Cuervo announced an extension for the 2014 season of its multi-platform marketing co-operation with Sauber, which was initially established in 2011. In December, telecommunications group Telmex renewed its status as a premium partner to retain a significant branding presence on the team’s cars.
