Morocco’s national carrier Royal Air Maroc says its recent shirt sponsorship deal with Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Santos is set to mark the beginning of a wider partnership between the two parties.
The airline featured on the front of the São Paolo-based club’s jerseys during its 1-0 win over Palmeiras in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final on Wednesday.
“This is the prelude to an enlarged partnership between Santos FC and Royal Air Maroc, which is being finalised for 2016,” Mehdi Yaalaoui, head of RAM’s Brazilian division, told Moroccan news agency MAP.
Neither the terms nor the length of the deal were disclosed. Santos announced RAM’s shirt sponsorship prior to the Palmeiras game on Wednesday but is yet to comment on whether or not an enhanced partnership with the airline has been agreed.
