AS Roma has entered into a partnership with pasta-making company La Molisana, while fellow Italian Serie A football club Bologna has signed a sponsorship deal with telco Linkem.
La Molisana has agreed a three-year deal to become a premium partner of Roma. The company will benefit from pitchside brand exposure, along with promotion in the Stadio Olimpico’s hospitality suites and other club spaces.
As part of the agreement, La Molisana will teach food education at football schools, promoting healthy lifestyles among children. La Molisana will also start selling ‘La Pasta della Roma’ in large supermarket outlets from September, with its Spaghetto Quadrato and Mezza Manica products to be available in packaging featuring the club’s colours.
Additionally, La Molisana will launch a season-long competition that will give purchasers of its pasta the chance to win tickets for Roma matches and other prizes.
Bologna’s deal with Linkem, meanwhile, will cover the 2018-19 season. Linkem will serve as a ‘Partner of the Future’ and will receive branding space on the back of the shirts worn by Bologna’s youth teams.
The company will also be promoted during Bologna home matches, while unique experiences will be organised for fans throughout the season.
Christoph Winterling, director of Bologna’s marketing and commercial operations, said: “The idea of investing in children and families focusing on the youth sector is perfectly in line with the attention that Bologna is reserving for young people, be it athletes or fans. As part of this partnership, in the coming months we will develop together with Linkem many activities dedicated to the rossoblù fans.”
Linkem holds an existing partnership with Roma.
