Imaging and electronics company Ricoh has renewed its title sponsorship of the Women’s British Open under an agreement with the Ladies Golf Union.
Ricoh is enjoying the ninth year of its title sponsorship at this year’s Women’s British Open, which commences at the Ailsa Course at the Trump Turnberry Resort today (Thursday), and the extension is for the next three editions, spanning 2016 to 2018.
The extended deal was brokered by the IMG agency, which has worked alongside the tournament since 1984.
Woburn Golf Club and Kingsbarns Golf Links will host the Women’s British Open in 2016 and 2017 respectively. The event has been co-sanctioned by North America’s LPGA and the Ladies European Tour since 1994 and gained Major status in 2001.
