International sporting federations union SportAccord has reached a deal to make the Renault-Nissan Alliance an official partner for its 2013 World Mind Games event, which commences in Beijing today.
In addition to visibility through television broadcasts and live streaming with an estimated reach of 300 million, the Renault-Nissan Alliance will become the main partner of the event’s online tournaments.
The annual World Mind Games features 150 of the world’s best mind sports players. Its online tournaments have a cumulative participation of 700,000.
Renault-Nissan Alliance, a strategic industrial and commercial partnership between the respective French and Japanese automotive manufacturers, will reward the winners of the online tournaments with a Nissan Tiida compact car and a Renault Koleos SUV.
China is Nissan’s single largest passenger car market worldwide, while the deal comes as a significant boost to Renault after last week’s announcement that it is set to begin industrial operations in the country.
