Formula One motor-racing team Red Bull Racing has renewed its partnership with British sportscar marque Aston Martin.
The extended deal covers the 2017 F1 season and will grant Aston Martin continued exposure through branding on Red Bull’s cars.
Aston Martin first teamed up with Red Bull ahead of the 2016 season-opener in Australia, with the two parties collaborating to design the AM-RB 001 hypercar.
All 150 road-going editions of the car have since been sold, with customer deliveries to begin in early 2019. A prototype of the car is expected to be run by the end of the 2017 campaign.
“Our relationship with Red Bull Racing has done for Aston Martin exactly what we expected it to do,” Aston Martin president and chief executive, Andrew Palmer, said. “It is helping us to continue to build our brand across the globe. Partnerships like this are good for business both in terms of technical innovation and brand awareness, so we are pleased to continue into 2017.”
