Chinese mobile and internet technology company Qbao.com has made further inroads into the Spanish Liga football market by securing shirt sponsorship rights with Rayo Vallecano for the 2014-15 season.
The agreement comes after Chinese sports management company NJQY announced last month that it had agreed a sponsorship deal with Rayo. NJQY has now agreed to transfer branding rights to Qbao.com, with the firm set to receive presence on the front of the club’s shirt during the forthcoming season.
The latest deal marks Qbao.com’s second tie-up with a Spanish Liga club in the space of a week. Real Sociedad has also reached an agreement for Qbao.com to become its main sponsor for the 2014-15 season.
Rayo Vallecano opted against having a front-of-shirt sponsor for the majority of the 2013-14 season. The club finished 12th in the 2013-14 Liga, four points clear of the final relegation place.
