Qatar Airways has been unveiled as the official national airline partner of the 2019 World Athletics Championships.
The International Association of Athletics Federations event will take place from September 27 to October 6 in Qatar’s capital, Doha.
As part of the deal, discounted air fares will be available for travelling to the championships via Qatar Airways’ website.
The event, which will bring together more than 3,500 athletes, coaches and officials at the Khalifa International Stadium.
Qatar Airways is already a high-profile supporter of a number of sporting events hosted by the emirate.
The company’s role as an official partner and the official airline of football’s global governing body Fifa will ensure significant exposure during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Additionally, the airline is a sponsor of the Qatar Open men’s and women’s tennis event, as well as the Qatar Classic Squash Championship.
