Punchestown Racecourse has announced Bibby Financial Services Ireland as the title sponsor of its showpiece Gold Cup race.
Under an initial one-year deal, the newly named Bibby Financial Services Gold Cup will boast a total prize fund of €200,000 ($270,000) – an increase of €50,000 over last year’s purse.
The three-mile steeplechase will feature leading jockeys Barry Geraghty and Ruby Walsh, who will be chasing a fifth victory in the event when it runs on April 30.
