NFL American football franchise the Green Bay Packers has agreed a partnership with telco U.S. Cellular.
Terms of the multi-year deal were undisclosed, but it was confirmed that U.S. Cellular will now serve as the team’s official wireless partner.
U.S. Cellular will also become the official sponsor of Wi-Fi at the team’s Lambeau Field home stadium, benefit from branding placement on various services at all home games and place charging stations throughout the venue.
The deal also includes sponsorship of a congregation space that will be built in the concourse at the stadium as part of an ongoing renovation project.
In addition, U.S. Cellular will sponsor the Packers’ official mobile application and integrate a new wayfinding feature to help fans navigate Lambeau Field.
Mark Murphy, president and chief executive of the Packers, said: “We’re looking forward to working with them to provide programs and activities that are geared toward enhancing our fans’ experiences on gameday and every day at Lambeau Field.”
