Ottawa Senators extend Bell Media partnership

Canadian NHL ice hockey franchise the Ottawa Senators has agreed a 12-year extension to its sponsorship deal with telecommunications company Bell Media which will run through the 2025-26 season.

The wide-ranging agreement also includes regional television and radio broadcast rights, but will allow the two parties to strengthen their exclusive corporate telecommunications sponsorship over the long-term.

Bell, an original partner of the Ottawa Senators, has a relationship with the team that dates back 22 seasons to when the franchise returned to the NHL – marking Bell’s longest relationship with an NHL outfit.

The new agreement includes a broad variety of activations on all levels, including community engagement, in-arena promotions and branding, and retail support. The partnership will also continue to invest in the local community. Bell will remain the official sponsor of the Senators’ official practice arena, the Bell Sensplex, and the Bell Capital Cup, one of the world’s largest minor hockey tournaments.

The Senators added the agreement features a number of future programs to enhance the fan experience, both inside and outside of the Senators’ Canadian Tire Centre home. Details on these initiatives will be announced at a later date.
