Osram lights way for EHC Munchen

Lighting manufacturer Osram has reached a multi-year agreement to become a premium partner of Deutsche Eishockey Liga ice hockey team EHC Munchen.

Under the deal, financial terms for which were not disclosed, Osram will benefit from prime branding exposure at all home matches played by EHC Munchen at its Olympia-Eisstadion.

There will also be long-term cooperation between EHC Munchen and Osram on lighting projects, with the company having provided lighting solutions to a number of high profile sporting events including the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

Christophe Pomeon, head of lighting at Osram, said: “The connection of two internationally renowned brands opens a new variety of possibilities for both partners.”

EHC Munchen is currently second in the DEL standings, a point behind leader Adler Mannheim. Osram is headquartered in Munich.
