Singapore-headquartered OCBC Bank has reached a five-year agreement with the Women’s Tennis Association to become the official card partner of its season-ending WTA Championships in Singapore.
Under the deal, OCBC Bank card members will benefit from a seven per cent discount if they purchase tickets to the event during the exclusive pre-sale period between April 17 to May 14 and the early bird period of May 15 to June 1.
Thereafter, card holders will receive a five per cent reduction on general admission tickets for the October 17-26 showpiece at Singapore Sports Hub.
Last November, OCBC Bank signed a 15-year deal to become a premier founding partner of Singapore Sports Hub, a newly established multi-venue facility.
As part of those terms OCBC Bank took naming rights to the OCBC Arena and OCBC Square, which will be respectively involved in the WTA Championships by hosting player practice sessions and a fan festival.
The WTA Championships, which features the leading eight singles players and doubles pairings in women’s tennis, begins a five-year stretch in Singapore this year after switching from Istanbul. Earlier this month luxury property developer SC Global became a presenting sponsor for this period, while financial services company BNP Paribas extended its title sponsorship of the tournament in March.
