Peak extends WTA deal

Asian sportswear and apparel brand Peak has renewed a sponsorship deal with the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).

The new agreement will run for five years, running from 2015 to 2019.

Peak will serve as the WTA's official performance apparel and shoe partner in the Asia-Pacific region, while also becoming an official partner of the WTA China Tennis Festivals.

“Peak has been, and will continue to be a key partner for the WTA, as we collaborate to grow the sport in the Asia-Pacific region,” WTA chairman and chief executive Stacey Allaster said. “Peak’s passion and enthusiasm for world-class tennis, has helped us grow women’s tennis in the region. We’re looking forward to another great five years working with Peak.”

Peak chief executive Zhihua Xu added: “We are renewing our agreement with the WTA because it has been a mutually beneficial partnership that has allowed us to extend our brand into tennis and aided the WTA in driving popularity of tennis in Asia. Aligning ourselves with the WTA will support the mission to build our global brand.”
