NRL’s Sharks tie up wide-ranging deal with PointsBet

Australian NRL rugby league team Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks has agreed a wide-ranging sponsorship deal with online bookmaker PointsBet.

The Australian company has signed a four-season deal, running from 2019 to 2022, that grants it naming rights to the Sharks’ home stadium.

Along with branding rights at PointsBet Stadium, the firm will have its logo on the sternum of the Sharks jersey.

In January, PointsBet launched in the recently legalised US sports betting market and is already making a significant impact.

In Australia, PointsBet utilises former NRL and AFL Aussie rules stars, Brett Finch and Billy Brownless, as brand ambassadors.
