Australian NRL rugby league club the Sydney Roosters has agreed a kit sponsorship deal with commercial and residential glass replacement company Magic Glass.
The three-year deal covers the 2017 to 2019 NRL seasons and names Magic Glass as a platinum partner of the club. Magic Glass’s branding will feature on the upper-chest area of the Roosters’ jerseys, and on the front of the team’s shorts.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Australian newspaper the Daily Telegraph reported that the deal brings the total value of the Roosters’ kit up to a record A$2.2m (€1.6m/$1.7m) in 2017. Roosters chief executive John Lee confirmed that the value of the team’s jersey is now the highest in the club’s history.
Magic Glass’s branding will feature on the Roosters’ kit for the first time during this weekend’s Auckland Nines pre-season tournament.
