Fina, the global governing body of aquatic sports, has agreed a deal with Nikon for the Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer to sponsor its upcoming World Swimming Championships (25m).
As an official Fina partner, Nikon will provide support and services to all media on-site during the event, which takes place from December 6-11 in Windsor, Canada.
Nikon will provide equipment inspections and cleaning services and will also loan out equipment.
Nikon’s KeyMission 360 camera will also be used to record the transformation of the WFCU Centre into the 25-metre pool that will host the event. The images will be released across the event’s digital and social media channels.
In addition, Nikon Canada will work with event organisers to encourage fans to take commemorative photos as part of a promotional campaign designed to boost excitement around the Championships.
Nikon first partnered with Fina in 2007 and has supported the body’s World Championships and World Swimming Championships (25m) ever since.
