North American motorsport organisation the National Hot Rod Association has entered into a partnership with washable filters and intake systems manufacturer K&N Engineering.
The company will serve as the official filter and air intake of NHRA. The length of the deal was not disclosed.
K&N has an existing presence within NHRA drag racing, and served as the title sponsor of the Route 66 NHRA Nationals event at the weekend. It also sponsors the annual Horsepower Challenge event and a number of NHR Pro and Sportsman teams.
“We’ve had great success in marketing our products through partnerships with the NHRA in the past,” Tony Yorkman, sports marketing manager at K&N Engineering, said. “The fan base of NHRA drag racing represents a great match with our targeted customers.
“With greater visibility in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series through this official sponsorship, we look forward to generating even more awareness and recognition for the K&N brand.”
