Japanese IT services company NEC has renewed its long-term sponsorship of the International Tennis Federation’s wheelchair tennis tournaments.
The deal will run for three years, from 2018 to 2020, and extends a relationship that stretches back to 1992.
NEC will stay on as the title sponsor of the Wheelchair Tennis Masters, an event that the company has supported since its inception in 1994.
In addition, NEC will continue as an international partner of Wheelchair Tennis Tour events in key markets. NEC has been a partner of the Tour since its launch in 1992.
ITF president David Haggerty said: “We are very grateful for the continued support of NEC Corporation, which has been a loyal and hardworking partner of the ITF’s wheelchair tennis activities for more than 25 years. Its commitment and enthusiasm has helped wheelchair tennis become one of the fastest growing Paralympic sports.”
