North American stock car-racing series Nascar has agreed a multi-year partnership with US automotive manufacturer Mack Trucks.
The deal names Mack Trucks the official hauler of Nascar. As part of the agreement, the firm’s custom-designed Mack Pinnacle vehicles will transport equipment and technology to each Nascar race event.
The partnership will also allow Mack Trucks to engage with dealers and customers at Nascar events. In addition, the firm will join the ‘Nascar Fuel for Business Council’, a group of 60 series partners that meets four times a year to construct customised deals that address their respective business needs.
“Joining forces with Nascar offers us the opportunity to use the sport to exemplify the quality and reliability we’ve proven for more than a century,” John Walsh, vice-president of marketing at Mack Trucks, said.
