North American stock car racing series Nascar has reached a deal to make multinational banking and financial services corporation Bank of America the presenting sponsor of its Troops to the Track initiative.
Nascar launched Troops to the Track in association with the Armed Forces Foundation five years ago. The initiative is a recreational group therapy programme that honours service men and women, veterans and military families at races across the USA.
Garage tours, driver meet-and-greets and recognition during the drivers’ meeting are among the VIP experiences on offer to service personnel, with Troops to the Track activated at more than 20 race tracks.
The Troops to the Track deal expands Bank of America’s involvement with Nascar as it already serves as the official bank of the series. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
