Napoli books Mytaxi deal

Licensed taxi app Mytaxi has entered into its first European football partnership by agreeing a deal with Italian Serie A club Napoli.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the German platform becomes Napoli’s official mobility partner having chosen Naples as its fourth Italian launch city, following Milan, Rome and Turin.

Napoli forward Simone Verdi will promote the partnership, with fans who use a code entitled ‘Verdi’ receiving a 50 per cent discount on a journey booked through Mytaxi until December 8.

Serena Salvione, head of international business development at Napoli, said: “We have worked together on entertaining content that involves the city, Napoli and one of our stars in a direct and authentic way.

“Our strategy is always aimed at extending our brand internationally but also fuelling the synergy between our millions of supporters and the team. Therefore, there will be many promotional initiatives for supporters to promote the entry into our city of foreign tourists. Mytaxi is an app that can give everyone the opportunity to learn more about the beauty of Naples.”

Barbara Covili, general manager of Mytaxi Italia, added: “It is our first European football partnership and we have focused on Naples for its great touristic activity as well as for its beauty, a very thoughtful choice appreciated by our top management in Germany.”
