MLB’s Rangers strike deal with Jack Daniel’s

MLB baseball team Texas Rangers has entered into a three-year sponsorship deal with Tennessee whiskey brand Jack Daniel’s.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jack Daniel’s acquires the naming rights to the Diamond Club, a food and drink facility at the Rangers’ Arlington ballpark that will be open to all season-ticket holders before and during games following an off-season renovation.

The renovations at the Diamond Club are part of a fourth consecutive season of improvements at the facility that have cost approximately $40m (€29.4m). The financial terms of the deal with Jack Daniel’s were undisclosed.

In 2013, Texas Rangers lost a tie-breaking game against Tampa Bay Rays to miss out on MLB play-off contention for the first time since 2009.
