Major League Baseball has entered into a partnership with US transportation network company Lyft that will allow supporters to share car journeys with other fans to and from games.
The deal will begin in the 2014 postseason and run throughout the 2015 MLB season.
Under the deal, Lyft will become the MLB’s official ride for fans and will enable supporters to access safe car-sharing services.
Lyft and the MLB will also work together to offer fans free ride giveaways and special promotions for the 2014 playoffs, which take place this October.
