US-based brewery MillerCoors has opted to expand its existing partnership with Major League Baseball franchise the Atlanta Braves.
The enhanced deal will come into effect in 2017 upon completion of the team’s new SunTrust Park ballpark.
Under the agreement, MillerCoors will become the official beer partner of the team and benefit from prominent signage and various branded entertainment throughout the new ballpark.
A new Chop House restaurant that will constructed on site at the ballpark will be led by the brewery’s Coors Light brand.
In addition, the brewery’s Smith & Forge Hard Cider will become the official hard cider of the Braves, while Peroni Nastro Azzuro will serve as the official import beer of the team.
The team will promote these brands and other MillerCoors products through custom packaging, exclusive consumer promotions and Braves-themed retail point-of-sale throughout the southeast region.
MillerCoors has partnered with the Braves since 2010. Terms of the new deal were not disclosed.
