Atlanta Braves secure sponsor for spring training facility

Home services company CoolToday has acquired naming rights for the new spring training ballpark of Major League Baseball team the Atlanta Braves.

Under the 20-year deal, the venue will be known as CoolToday Park. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The ballpark, which is slated to host its first game on March 24 when the Braves take on the Tampa Bay Rays, is currently under construction in North Port, Florida.

CoolToday will benefit from scoreboard and dugout signage, as well as exterior signage and promotional opportunities for other events held at the ballpark.

Mike Plant, president and chief executive of Braves Development Company, said: “This is a new chapter in Braves history and one that strengthens Florida as our home away from home. CoolToday and the Braves share deep roots in the state of Florida and we couldn’t imagine a more perfect partner for this facility.”

The Braves’ first full spring training season at CoolToday Park will take place in 2020. The venue is being developed by the Braves in partnership with Sarasota County, the City of North Port and West Villages/Mattamy Homes.
