NFL American football team Miami Dolphins has announced a sponsorship deal with cruise ship operator Norwegian Cruise Line.
Under the agreement, Norwegian Cruise Line becomes an official sponsor of the Dolphins and will enjoy a presence at its Sun Life Stadium throughout the 2013-14 NFL season.
To celebrate the announcement, the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders will christen the company’s Norwegian Getaway ship on February 7 next year. The ship will sail seven-day Caribbean cruises every Saturday from February 8 and be the largest vessel to homeport in Miami year-round.
Further promotion will come in the form of fan competitions, including a sweepstake to win a cruise for four on Norwegian Getaway, and a Norwegian Cruise Line photo area on site at Sun Life Stadium where the Dolphins cheerleaders will appear for photos with fans on October 20.
During the Miami Dolphins “Salute to Service” in the third quarter of home games, a member of the military will be granted a cruise for two on Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Cruise Line will also be promoted year-round through the stadium television network and on scoreboard signage.
The partnership also extends to a promotion on Norwegian Getaway’s on-board library, which will house a selection of Miami Dolphins memorabilia.
